Fair Growth for the Greater Good of All
The Greater Innisfil Chamber of Commerce organized a rally at Queen's Park so that residents and businesses of Innisfil could show the McGuinty government they don't want to see parts of the Town swallowed up by the City of Barrie. The Chamber also hosted a Save Innisfil - Fair Growth Rally at the Stroud Arena to inform Innisfil residents about the consequences of potential annexation by Barrie and what they can do about it.
Thank you to everyone
that joined either rally. There were approximately 350 attendees at the
rally in Stroud and approximately 200 demonstrators at the Queen's Park
rally.

The Greater Innisfil Chamber of Commerce (GICC) was established as a forum
for business leaders working to fulfill the Chamber’s mission to be “One
Voice For A Prosperous Innisfil”. It has evolved from a part-time volunteer
organization to become an established, full-time resource centre serving
the business community in all four corners of Innisfil.
The purpose of the G.I.C.C is to:
- promote and improve trade and commerce and the economic, civic and social welfare of the community,
- foster communication between business, community, and government,
- attract and welcome new business to the Town of Innisfil,
- attract tourism to Innisfil and create an atmosphere that will encourage consumers to return,
- promote and encourage fair and courteous dealings with customers, and
- promote, educate and encourage ethical business practices.
