Opportunities to Participate

The GICC actively promotes itself to its membership and to the public through the activities of its roster of committees. Volunteers are the strength the GICC and member committees provide valuable services for the benefit of all members.

Marketing & Promotion

This committee is responsible for enhancing the visibility of existing members and for membership promotion. This is achieved through the following sub-committees:

• Web site
  Every member is listed on the Chamber Web site and given the opportunity to link to their corporate web site.
• Newsletter/Media Relations
  The quarterly newsletter and good relationships with local media help communicate GICC news and information to members and the community.
• Membership
  Promotion of membership benefits. Liase with existing and potential members.
• Value Added
  Regular updates of information and news about value-added programs available to members.
  

Special Events

These events are critical to the networking opportunities available to existing and potential members for the GICC. They are:

• Annual Business Awards Gala
• Annual Golf Tournament
• My Innisfil After 5 Gatherings

Government Affairs

The G.I.C.C. actively works to maintain and enhance the relationship between Innisfil businesses and all levels of government and other business associations by sitting on the Innisfil Economic Development Committee and the South Simcoe Business Links Committee.

Communications

The key to maintaining a strong G.I.C.C. is to establish and foster a strong communications link between the Chamber and the membership through database management solutions such as quickfaxes, emails and posted mail. The membership is the pulse of the organization and should have access to information at any time and as quickly as possible.

Structure Review

Structure and succession planning are critical to the long-term life of any organization. This committee is designed to ensure that the G.I.C.C. communicates regularly with all representative Innisfil groups in order that the involvement of their members will enrich the G.I.C.C. and allow for succession planning within the executive.
